


Jeg elsker gulrotkake, og da jeg feiret bursdagen min med familien bestemte jeg meg for at det var nettopp det jeg skulle lage. Bursdagsbarnet bestemmer, ikke sant! Jeg ville gjøre en liten tvist på den, og bestemte meg for å prøve meg på rosekake. Den ble ikke perfekt, og jeg gikk tom for glasur da jeg skulle dekorere den med roser rundt, men rustikk og søt synes jeg likevel den ble. Det var så enkelt å lage roser, og jeg skal definitivt lage kaken flere ganger!
/ I love carrot cake and when I celebrated my birthday with my family I decided to make one.The birthday girl decides, right?! I wanted to do something different than the regular and boring pan-cake, and went for a super cute rose cake! It didn’t turn out totally perfect, but still I think it looked beautiful and rustic considering that it was my first. I ran out of frosting when I started decorating it on the sides, but damn it tasted good though. I’m without a doubt making this again!

Gulrotkaken ble saftig, søt og vanvittig god. Jeg våger å påstå at det er den beste jeg har smakt (og believe me, jeg har smakt mange i mitt liv). Besøket var heldigvis enig! Jeg tok utgangspunkt i denne oppskriften, men lagde den i springform istedenfor langpanne. Kaken er i to lag, med glasur i midten.
/ The carrot cake was so juicy, sweet and ridiculously good if I can say it myself. My family agreed that it was the best they ever had! And believe me, we are cake lovers and know what we’re talking about.. I followed this recipe, but made the cake in two layers in a round cake tin instead of a big baking tray!
